Alanda Tomlin, President

The only girl and youngest of three children, Alanda is a life-long resident of Rockbridge County and Buena Vista.
Alanda is an accomplished horsewoman and has appeared in many shows.
A world traveler, she has toured Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska.
She is a certified color consultant and frame stylist, who has completed a 3 year optician apprenticeship program and is a licensed optician.
She is married to Brian (Buzzy) Reese and they reside on a local farmette with their horses and other livestock.
She also is a Zeiss certified vision expert and has a Rodenstock dispensing certification along with 14 years of optical experience at the New Opticians.

Greg Gearheart

Born and raised in Bluefield, West Virginia, Greg graduated from Bluefield High School in 1982 and went on to complete courses and graduate from Mercer County Vocational Technical school.
He completed his optician's apprenticeship program and has been a practicing optician since 1990.
Greg is certified by the American Board of Opticians and licensed by the Virginia Board for Opticians. He is also certified by the Board to design and fit contact lenses.
Greg's community involvement includes being vice president of the Lexington Downtown Development Association, board member of the Virginia Optician's Association and is a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church.
He is married to Lisa and they have two children, Holly and Joseph.
Greg has been a member of the New Opticians staff for 8 years

Carter Lowry

...trained at the National Eye Research Foundation in Chicago and with the Wisconsin Opticians Assocation. He's a nationally certified optician, licensed in Virginia to dispense eyewear and to fit and dispense contact lenses.
Carter also is a member of the Virginia Board for Opticians and serves with the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation in Richmond.
